My professional experience includes working in private practice since
1999, prior to that I had been employed as a staff psychologist at Holland
Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services for about 10 years. I also worked as a
staff psychologist at Steelcase Employees Counseling Center for about 2
years, and my first postdoctoral professional experience was as a staff
psychologist at the State Prison of Southern Michigan for almost 3 years.
My life has been shaped and influenced by many individuals and experiences,
including the foundation of faith and caring from my parents and family, the
steadfast and expanding love from and with my wife, the most humbling but
rewarding experience of parenting my two children, and numerous mentors and
friends who have guided, supported and encouraged me.

direction, a lens to see, a walking stick for support and protection, and a
rich and abiding path to walk on the journey of life.
